SPOTTED ARTTOURS SHANGHAI CO, LTD

During Spotted Slow Art Tours, we take time to explore the infinite possibilities that art can offer if we push beyond the surface glance. Spotted experiential encounters with art are not traditional guided tours. We strongly believe that marching from one work of art to another while passively listening to the guide’s explanations yields tired feet NOT inspired minds.
Spotted art experiences celebrate the act of slow looking and the magic of shared thinking. Through guided facilitation, suggested practices, and thinking routines, we will engage in a dialogue with and about works of art in ways that are meaningful and profound, revealing and awe-inspiring.
The dialogue will enable us to push the boundaries of what we see and understand, travel beyond ourselves, and participate in the vast experiment of discovery and interpretation.
We will engage our bodies, thoughts and imagination, and together, as a group of like-minded individuals, we will bring ideas and artworks to life.
Each Slow Looking Experience with Spotted is unique. Whether we guide you through large museum exhibitions, helping you navigate them, or explore art galleries in hidden alleys and bustling areas, each session employs tailored approaches specifically designed for the artworks encountered.

Is it for you ?

It is for EVERYONE.

Regardless of whether you are a frequent exhibition goer or rarely find yourself in a museum or an art gallery, regardless of your age, gender, profession, knowledge of art history, these are the experiences tailored for improving connections : connections with what you see and how you see it, how you assimilate it, communicate about it and reflect on it, it is for integrating parts of your brain for more holistic life experiences.

What’s in it for you ?

Whether navigating a boardroom discussion at work, or sharing moments in the sanctuary of home, the slow practices learnt and exercised during our tours prove to be a source of profound benefits. They nurture personal growth, foster empathy, encourage inquiry, address personal, cultural and systematic biases in one’s interpretation. They open pathways to understanding an issue, an object, or a point of view. By embracing such intellectual pursuits, we enhance our daily interactions, elevating the quality of communication—a mutual exchange that enriches both personal and professional relationships, forging deeper connections that endure and flourish.
